The story
From Shambadunia
to Shechinah Group.
Shambadunia Limited was founded in Dar es Salaam in 2019 to make farming visible, productive and worth celebrating. In 2021 it ran the first Mkulima Awards in Morogoro, honouring the farmers, fishers, processors and extension officers who feed Tanzania. It went on to launch the Kilimo Marathon & Expo, a road race with an agribusiness expo at the finish line, built to bring young people into agriculture.
In 2026 the same team brought all of its work together under Shechinah Group: agriculture through Shambafrica, and media, creative and technology through RIC Agency and RIC Tech. The people, the platforms and the purpose are the same. Only the name over the door has grown.
